Day 4 (23 Nov, Friday)

This morning we went to a stall opposite our hotel for breakfast. After a hearty breakfast, Uncle Robert led us in equipping session with a lesson on sacrificing what we have to serve God. Right after that, Kenneth shared from James in our team devotional.

We left for a Korean managed orphanage after devotional. Ryan, Grace, Kenneth, Amanda Soo and Nathan helped paint a mural for the orphanage. Ryan led us in this project. The rest of us played games with the kids. Uncle Paul put his balloon sculpting talent to work. We later gave some gifts to the kids. The visit ended on a happy note with a group photograph.

At the 2nd orphanage (State run) we visited, we volunteered to be in different groups ministering to kids with different needs. Some helped with the babies and toddlers, while others helped with the disabled kids. These visits to the 2 orphanages were eye opening experiences for us. We were indeed blessed and should not take our parents for granted.

After an exhausting (physically and emotionally) day, we visited the only mall with escalators in Phnom Penh. We had went our ways to look for food and entertainment, and rested in the cool mall.

After that, we went back to the hotel for our team devotional with Justin sharing from James. Following that was equipping time with Andrew. We had a lively discussion on culture and it allowed us to understand each other’s culture better. We concluded our session with some sharing of impressions of our stay in Cambodia. We then prayed for the Cambodian Mission Team.

The girls decided to get together in Amanda’s room to prepare for their assignments. They had a good bonding time before falling asleep.
