Session 2

This was the day. This was the day when Soymilk +C came together as one. This was the day when our roles were allocated to us. With the job allocation, the trip became even more real and tangible. That's exciting.


Exciting too, was the new song we learnt - A New Anointing. It resonated with the idea that this was the day, a day of rejoicing and gladness. And I rejoice at how we bonded through the learning of the song. People who didn't know each other sang together, praising voices. People of different chuches, youths used to singing different songs, coming together to praise God in song. It was striking how many trained music people there were in the group. Yet even more striking was how there was no insistence on perfect pitch or perfect timing.The only thing that mattered above all was that God was praised.






One of the things we were asked to prepare for the session was a photo album of our home, school, family and ourself. Many of us brought along our baby photos as well. Baby photos are truly an instant ice-breaker. They offer peeks into our personal and private life and when the door is thrown open this wide, trust soon follows.


It is my prayer that the people of Thailand and Cambodia will trust us as we share our lives with them, and that they too will trust our Saviour whom we trust. This is my prayer that we, sons and daughters of the King of glory will now arise and shine, declaring and proclaiming the Lord.
