Day 11 (30 Nov, Friday)

Ate yummi-licious rice in soup (khao toum), and headed for the Baw Gaew school from our host family’s house. Met the school kids. They were really shy and didn’t really jump out to greet us and stuff. But never mind. Soymilk still attempted to be high. One of the Baw Gaew kids danced a classical Thai dance for us, and she was really good! They danced a pong pong cheerleader dance for us and it was cute too.

English day camp began. We had 5 stations – Time, Body parts, Numbers, Colours, Shapes. All went well. Kids enjoyed themselves and really opened up.

Khao Soi lunch

Soymilk performed “Blessed be your name” and “A New Anointing”. More performances, and the telematch game by soymilk started. It was very fun, everyone enjoyed themselves. Green team won!

Camp ended. We left a whole bunch of kids clinging on the gates waving BYE! Touched because of the contrast between before and after the camp. Grew really close and attached because this time round unlike the previous AME, WE were the ones planning for like ¾ of the activity.

Tired soymilkians then packed into the vehicles and back to Chiang Mai we went. We went for M! As a reward after the tiring camp. After hanging out at the Night bazaar, we headed back.
