Sheena however was already looking forward to the 24th. Sheena had previously been to Cambodia and Thailand but she couldn't go for AME because of her exams. Or so she thought. Sheena had intended to support us in our preparations, but ended up signing up for the tripas well. 15 minutes later, Amanda Tan also signed up for the AME.
This year, our team is called SOYMILK + C. As before, Soymilk still stands for Spiritually Oriented Youth Missionaries Impacting the Lord's Kingdom while the + C is still open for interpretation. Is the + a cross in disguise? Is the C short for Cambodia or Christ or evaporated milk (like in teh C)? Are we enriched with vitamin C?
Well, the vitamins will probably be provided by Uncle Paul and Uncle Pak Fook. For us Soymilkians though, we'd most likely be God's anointed, full of life, infecting others with our joy and laughter.
That's unlikely to be too difficult though, not with Uncle Pak Fook packing such a punch with his jokes. Kenneth and Amanda Soo, our freshly minted Soymilkians, were soon laughing along as well.
Blessed is the name of the Lord. On the road marked with suffering and though there's pain in the offering, blessed is the Lord's name. May we also be a blessing.
